Volunteering

Methil Community Education Centre depends on its Volunteers, they are essential to the smooth running of the Centre. People Volunteer at the Centre for a variety of reasons, from using their life experiences to help others, gaining work experience, making new friends through to enhancing their curriculum vitae. Being a Volunteer can also help to build one's confidence and self-esteem, doing Volunteering can help you do things you thought you couldn't

Volunteering also brings benefits to the individuals involved, it may simply be a way to have fun and meet new people. Volunteering can help you mix with new people who are into the same things, forming new friends on the way. Being a Volunteer can result in gaining new skills, perhaps its something you've always wanted to do but the moment has never been right, then go for it and achieve valuable skills along the way. Volunteering can improve your chances of getting a job. Showing on your curriculum vitae that you have Volunteered is something potential employers will respect and may afford you another opportunity towards your dream job.

Methil Community Education Centre caters for Volunteers and appreciates the work that they do. Not only does the Centre profit from their input but the Volunteers derive greater benefit. Without the assistance of the Volunteers, the Centre would find it difficult to deliver the same quality of service"
